Australia Day 2012 CelebrationsAs in previous years, the Maltese Community Council of NSW will be celebrating Australia Day with a ceremony at the historic Parramatta Town Hall on Sunday 22 January from 3:30pm to 6:00pm where we will see the ties that exist between the Maltese and Australia. In this celebration, Maltese recipients of Australian honours will be presented. Many state and federal members of parliament have been invited. There will be a number of speakers and a visual presentation of Maltese migrants arriving in Australia. The Maltese Cultural Association choir will sing appropriate songs and it is hoped that the Maltese Language School folk group will make a brief appearance. Refreshments will be served at the end. There will be no charge but, if attending, please phone Alfred Fenech on 9519 7026 or 0401 189 817 for catering purposes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
